He banged at the wooden crate, leaping the short distance to bounce off the walls. Earlier he had tried scratching them and biting them to no avail. Now in desperation he was attempting to knock them over or something. Something banged against the outside of the crate and the rough bark of a human told him to be still. He stood silently, glancing out of the breathing holes to try and gain his bearings. When the crate was dropped he voiced his discomfort and soon the crate was opened. With a growl he lunged himself out of the crate and did a quick sweep of the area. It smelled of his own kind… yet dangerous. He stood proudly and dominantly, waiting for something to happen.

Lakota 3.5 year old female wolf [loner] the brown female appeared at the sound of something banging, and the smell of gasoline. People she growled under her breath. Lakota had a strong dislike for them, but to be honest, she was actually scared of them. In her mind, someone who can tear a life apart like it's nothing, is pretty scary. She looked on as the crate shook as the creature inside pounded at the sides to be released. When the wood was finally taken out of his path, and the wolf inside was set free, the people left as if almost on cue. Lakota was pretty curious about this new comer She knew she must have been brought over the same way, but she never really remembered the experience. The snow was thick, and she trudged up to the new wolf, who was looking pretty dominant with his stance and tail. Lakota hesitated, but stayed confident a she went up to greet this new wolf. "Im Lakota. Welcome to Kodiak Island."

He sniffed the air as she approached and he whirled around to face her, it was winter here, different from back home. Back home it was much warmer but luckily enough his coat was thick enough that he wasn’t to cold. His head cocked to the side slightly but he remained dominant. His teeth bared and his fur bristled. He couldn’t help but growl in response to her dominant stance. He was not used to others been dominant around him, never mind females. Females were never as strong as males, they never had the ability to lead the way males did. If this female thought he was going to submit to her then she had another thing coming. She was small, very pretty in his opinion but should she not submit, well then she was not worth much.
”I do not care much where I am female” he said stressing that she should submit to him because he was male in his stressing of the word female. He took a step towards her, attempting to force her into submission. This was what worked with his females back home.
”What is your name female” he said simply.

Lakota 3.5 year old female wolf [loner] The male was pretty average. e had a normal colored coat, a normal size, a normal build. He seemed friendly enough, but the way he said female, she for the feeling that he didn't look at females very highly. Lakota had a temper, but the size and strength of this male were enough to keep her in check. The male didn't seem to care too much for her stance either, so to avoid conflict, she became slightly submissive.
By his words, she concluded that he wasn't too happy about being here. She laughed lightly, thinking about her first few weeks after being placed. At least the it was fall, and she could take advantage of the light. But now that it was winter, and the sun was gone for almost the hole day, with the exception of the hour or so that it decided to peak out of the darkness. He also asked for her name, which confused her, because she had already given it to him. "Like I said, It's Lakota. I didn't like it much here at first too, but it's not too bad. At least these winter days are nice.' She smiled a little bigger, taking a few steps back, so that the male wasn't towering over her. Even though he didn't seem to respect females to much, he didn't seem like was evil, or mean.

He nodded in response to her words, silently judging and deciding on his course of action. Of course there would be a leader if there were other wolves. Wolves were social creatures, most social creatures needed a leader. He was appeased with the fact that she allowed him the dominance in the conversation. It made her all the more attractive to him.
”So… tell me about the others here? There are others of course, I can smell them” he said simply. He sat on his haunches and waited for her answer. Only then did he realise he had asked for her name twice. His lip twitched but other than that nothing was shown. It was a simple slip-up, nothing else.

Lakota 3.5 year old female wolf [loner] The female followed him with her eyes as he sat, then she did the same. She kept her submissive position, and hated it. Lakota was a leader, not a follower. She showed no emotions, but her eyes did shine with a slight happiness, as she was excited to be in the company of another wolf. The brown female was half expecting him to give his name in return, and was a bit annoyed when he didn't.
"there is a small pack, who's camp isn't too far from here. I can show you if you like..." She paused, and though about maybe prying his name with a simple 'oh, what was your name again?' But quickly shot her idea down, as she really didn't care. Should I tell him I'm a loner? What would he do? .
